Denture Reline

Improve the fit of your existing denture.

Over time, the shape of your gums and underlying tissues can change, causing a denture that once fit comfortably to become loose. A denture reline reshapes the fitting surface of your existing denture to better adapt to the current shape of your mouth.

What Is a Denture Reline?

A denture reline updates the surface of the denture that rests against your gums. New material is added to this fitting surface so the denture can better adapt to the current shape of your mouth.

The existing teeth and much of the denture remain unchanged. Rather than making an entirely new denture, a reline focuses on improving the fit of the denture you already have.

Signs Your Denture May Need a Reline

Over time, changes in your gums and jawbone can affect how your dentures fit. A denture that once felt comfortable may begin to feel loose, shift while eating or speaking, or cause sore spots and irritation. A professional reline can help restore a more secure, comfortable fit without replacing the entire denture.

What to Expect During a Denture Reline

A denture reline is a straightforward process designed to improve the fit of your existing denture. We evaluate how your denture fits, make the necessary adjustments, and add new material to the fitting surface so it better conforms to the current shape of your mouth.
