What Are Implant-Retained Dentures?
Implant-retained dentures are removable dentures that securely attach to dental implants placed in the jaw. The implants provide additional retention and stability, helping reduce the movement that can occur with traditional dentures.
The denture is designed with special attachments that connect to the implants, allowing it to stay securely in place while still being removable for daily cleaning and care.
A familiar denture—with an added level of security.

Benefits of Implant-Retained Dentures
Implant-retained dentures combine the familiarity of a removable denture with the added support of dental implants. By helping the denture stay more securely in place, implant attachments can improve everyday function while still allowing the denture to be removed for routine cleaning and care.
For many denture wearers, that added stability can make a meaningful difference in day-to-day comfort and confidence.

Improved Stability
Implant attachments help reduce unwanted movement, providing a more secure fit during everyday activities.

Removable for Easy Cleaning
Your denture remains removable, making daily cleaning and routine maintenance straightforward.
Improved Chewing Function
Greater denture stability can make chewing more comfortable and help you enjoy a wider variety of foods.

Greater Confidence
With improved stability, function, and a secure fit, implant-retained dentures can help you feel more confident when speaking, smiling, and going about your day.
From Implants to Your Finished Denture
Implant-retained dentures are a coordinated treatment between your dental provider and Dentures of East Idaho. Your dentist or oral surgeon performs the surgical phase of treatment, including extractions and implant placement, and determines when the implants are healed and ready for the restorative phase.
Once your implants are ready, Dentures of East Idaho can take over the denture phase of treatment. We evaluate the implant system and attachment requirements, design and fabricate your implant-retained denture, and complete the attachment process for a secure, comfortable fit.
Already have implants? We can also evaluate an existing implant-retained denture and its attachment components to determine whether maintenance, replacement inserts, adjustments, or a new denture may be appropriate.
